The Decade Ahead.

We ask that you help us continue this important work. Please contribute to our 10 year fundraising campaign to nurture the next generation of East Boston climate leaders, provide fresh nutritious food to our neighbors, and support urban farms and local food systems.

We are marching gallantly ahead in sowing climate solutions and spreading them far and wide by training community youth and via visitors who learn about how we build our innovative solutions and hopefully feel inspired to try their own hand at climate solutions in ways tailored to their communities.

We are demonstrating better land use for communities and climate via green and clean infrastructure. We work to mitigate flooding and keep community spaces usable. We connect youth with job providers in the emerging clean energy industry and in sustainable agriculture. We are helping plant and grow climate-appropriate tree species. We help families grow food in their front, back, and side yards 🙂

We have demonstrated what is possible in our first 10 years and are determined to do much more in the service of our mission in the coming decade. Join us!

$25 - Buys seeds for a raised garden bed in Eastie

$50 - Purchases 1 bag of locally grown produce for a family in need

$100 - Cares for 1 native fruit tree

$250 - Supports our honeybees or pollinator-friendly gardens

$500 - Funds an educational field trip for local youth with the expicit goal to expand their horizons regarding their own higher education or vocation

$1000 - Covers the cost of a local school to visit Eastie Farm where they spend significant hours learning about our geothermal greenhouse, plants they can grow at home and school, and taking with them a seedling to care for.

Eastie Farm’s mission of pursuing climate justice, food security, and community resilience through urban agriculture, education, and the building of an equitable local food system has resulted in:

-1 zero-emission geothermal greenhouse – the first in New England! 

-3 urban growing spaces focused on education and community building

-70+ local youth participating in a green jobs program

-1300+ volunteers who have helped make this all happen

-350,000+ pounds of fresh food distributed to East Boston and surrounding neighborhoods since we began our food program in 2020
