Before schools closed, Eastie Farm continued its partnership with Suffolk University in our weekly volunteer groups. Though we only had a few weeks to work outside, we got a lot done! Thanks to everyone who helped, especially our neighbor Roberto, who was a fantastic volunteer foreman!

In the coming weeks we will have the farm graded and the raised beds ready for planting. It’s been hard to get soil because of all the closures in delivery sites but our friends at Restoring Roots Cooperative have been trying to connect us with what they can. Hopefully, we’ll have food in the ground soon!
We would like to thank Harvard for donating the shed in exchange for some work Kannan had done with them in the past.
