Step 2: Decide if you want a full season share or a split share
Full Season Share vs Split Share
Full Season
The full season CSA share is 25 weeks. Choosing this option means that you will receive a share every week of the CSA season, from the weeks of May 28th until November 14th. This option is best for households larger than 2 or individuals/couples who consume a lot of produce. You will receive eggs in your CSA every other week, starting on the first week.
Split Share
There are two options for purchasing a split share. Because the CSA runs for 25 weeks, there is an option to buy 13 weeks of shares (with eggs) or 12 weeks of shares (without eggs). The split share option is best for individuals or small households who don’t consume a lot of produce. Read below for an explanation of each to decide which split share option is best for you.
Split Share: 13 shares with eggs
If you’d like to receive eggs in your shares, select the 13 shares with eggs option. You will receive eggs in every share that you pick up. Pickup is every other week, starting the first week of the CSA (week of May 28). This split share option is slightly more expensive than the share without eggs because you are receiving one extra CSA share.
Split Share: 12 shares without eggs
If you would not like to receive eggs in your CSA shares, select the 12 shares, no eggs option. You will receive more produce in your shares compared to the shares that also contain eggs. Pickup is every other week, starting the second week of the CSA (week of June 4). This split share option is slightly less expensive than the share with eggs because you are receiving one fewer CSA share.
Step 3: Decide which pricing tier is right for you.
To determine which CSA pricing option is right for you, please use our CSA Pricing Self-Selection Guide. This guide comes from Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s work on Sliding Scale Systems from Worts and Cunning Apothecary. Thanks to Alexis for letting us use this resource!

Step 4: Decide if you want to pay upfront or make monthly payments.
Typically payments for CSA are made upfront before the season starts. We understand that paying upfront doesn’t work for everyone. We are offering our customers the opportunity to pay for their CSA share in 6 monthly payments. Please be advised that the amount per month is dependent on which price tier you choose and if you are a full season or split share customer. If you’d like to request a monthly payment plan, please fill out this form. If you fill out the monthly payment form, you’re done! If you choose to pay upfront, continue to the next step.
Step 5: Purchase a 2025 CSA Share here.
Under “CSA 2025 Purchase Options”, you will make your selection for the CSA share that works best for you. Once you make your selection, make sure that the quantity is correct. If you’re buying one CSA subscription, it should read “1”. Then click the blue Checkout button.
Step 6: Complete the CSA 2025 Pickup Time/Location Selection Form.

Sounds pricey to me, why?
Thanks for your question, Stephen. I have 2 answers. Firstly, we offer a tiered pricing system to make the CSA more accessible. This means that folks can pay as little as $20/week for the same bag of produce as someone paying the market rate ($47/week). Additionally, I urge you to read our blog post “Why We Need to Support Local Farms” found here: https://eastiefarm.com/2024/05/17/why-we-need-to-support-local-farms/. Small farmers struggle mightily to compete with large, industrial farms and typically have a full-time job aside from farming to remain afloat. Subscribing to our CSA is supporting a more equitable and sustainable food system, which sometimes comes at a higher price. But if you ask about value, you’re receiving the freshest local produce in the state, we host educational workshops and other programming free to CSA subscribers, we include weekly email communications with recipes and other information, we curate the bag for you to minimize your shopping time, we have a community Facebook page for recipe and ideas sharing, we offer a swap box where you can exchange an item you make not like, and you get to take a reusable grocery tote home at the end of the season. I’m happy to answer any more questions you may have about our CSA at csa@eastiefarm.com.
